Mountain View Homestay

Mountain View Homestay sits in Thulo Syabru, a Tamang village in Rasuwa District at 2,210 metres inside Langtang National Park, about 120 km north of Kathmandu. The village is less commercialised than the lower trail stops, with stone houses, prayer flags, active monasteries, and wide views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and the Paldor range. For trekkers, it is a natural overnight stop on both the Langtang Valley Trek and the Gosaikunda route, and a starting point for ascending higher into the valley. The Deluxe Room accommodates two guests at NPR 1,800 per night, with WiFi, parking, and a geyser included. Thulo Syabru sits at the crossroads of two major trekking routes, making it useful as either an entry point or a rest stop mid-trek. The trail onward to Kyanjin Gompa, the yak cheese factory, and the Tserko Ri viewpoint at 4,984 metres all begin from here. A recently built road via the Pasang Lhamu Highway now connects Thulo Syabru directly by private jeep from Kathmandu, bypassing Syabrubesi entirely for those who want to start their trek higher up. Spring brings rhododendron bloom along the surrounding forests; October to December offers the clearest mountain views and most stable trekking weather.
